William (Bill) Holmes has approximately 25 years of experience in public accounting and private industry. He began his career in Portland, Oregon at an international public accounting firm and was a corporate controller and principal accounting officer for a publicly traded international manufacturing and technology company.
Mr. Holmes’ primary industry experiences include manufacturing and distribution, software and technology, airlines and helicopters, agriculture and nurseries, food processing, professional services, construction, real estate and development, assisted living facilities (ALF) and tenants in common (TIC), retail, publishing, and music and entertainment.
Mr. Holmes’ past project experiences include all aspects of internal and external financial and public reporting, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions, budgeting and forecasting, corporate and individual tax planning, bank and corporate finance, and investor relations.
Mr. Holmes has worked with start-up, rapidly growing and troubled companies, organizational management restructuring, initial and secondary public offerings, private placements of debt and equity, ESOPs, and corporate ownership transition, including family-owned business planning.
Mr. Holmes has served as plaintiff and defense counsel consultant, subject matter and damage expert in complex litigation cases involving accountants’ professional liability, anti-trust, bankruptcy, commercial contract disputes, construction defects, criminal defense (“white-collar” crime), embezzlement, employment matters, intellectual property, personal injury, securities fraud, and shareholder rights and oppression.
Mr. Holmes is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has held senior leadership positions in the Rotary Youth Leadership Award program, is active in community youth organizations, serves on multiple related youth charity Boards, and is an active member in his church.
Mr. Holmes holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University where he graduated with honors.
